Thanks to Halo for sending the original FAQ that this one was based on.
Section 1: 1. get Winamp and some mp3's 2. make a playlist of these mp3's 3. get this shoutcast plugin (it has to be version 1.8.0), put it in the winamp plugin dir, 4. Hit Ctrl+P in winamp 5. go to plugins 6. under plugins highlight dsp/effect (you should see SHOUT cast Source for Winamp v1.8.0) 7. highlight shoutcast source, then hit configure on the bottom 8. just check enable low end pass filtering, do NOT enable advanced recording mode 9. press ok, then click close 10. double click on the shoutcast symbol (this is the shoutcast source) in your tray (the symbols in the lower right by your clock) 11. you'll see SERVER: and an edit box, click on edit 12. in server location and shoutcast server put in radio.ragradio.com 13. put in port 8000 14. ask venusia or hal0 for the pass in #ragradio, and insert it where it says password. 15. server information, description is whatever describes your show no need to mention Ragradio in It 16. put in genre the ID Number that is on the top of your User Profile Page 17. put in url http://and the same id from step 16 (ex.: http://2) 18. the irc chan must be Empty the other stuff there is optional 19. click ok 20. now you will see FORMAT: click on edit next to that 21. set format: to mpeg Layer-3 Set Attributes to 16kBit/s, 11,025 Hz mono if your on dialup - set format to 20kBit/s, 11,025 Hz 11 stereo if your on dsl or cable, click ok 22. hit ctrl+P and select shoutcast dll 23. start the broadcast by clicking on the shoutcast icon in your tray, hit connect, and start playing songs FAQ by hal0, with much much help from venusia (and after modified by Mike Osaka).
